As long as the CD is either an original Microsoft disk or a special
recovery disk from a company like Dell or Compaq having a directory
called "Win98" on it... then you are fine. Do not run any programs
or setup on this disk. Should it start, just close any programs that
start from it. You want to run VXD_fix.bat, it will read from the CD
the seven VXD files it needs and build you a new VMM32.VXD file.

If this is not possible, then let me know. I will build you a new
VMM32.VXD file, post it to the web for you to download and
place in your c:\Windows\system directory.
