Packard Bell, Cirrus Logic 5430 chipset

I bought a Creative Labs Graphic Blaster Exx. 4mb sram pci
video card OEM packaging for my Packard Bell from Fry's. I
have one PCI slot. When I looked at the video card, I noticed
that it had a monitor port. I already have a monitor built in
on my motherboard.

Can I install this board and use the new monitor port? Will my
built it monitor port interfere with the video card. Packard
Bell claims that the installation of a video card
automatically disables the onboard video. How would I know
that has happened?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
