Thanks Mark for your reply,

        Upon going in to clean the connections with my eraser, I noticed that
one of the prongs on the laptop side has broken out. Can this be easily
replaced? Since the client does have two batteries, I am thinking about
getting a soldering iron and attaching a prong from the older battery.
But since this is "beyond my comfort zone" I am seeking second opionions
before getting out in deep water and saying "oops."
