Hi

I'm Just about to take the plunge and get a USB scanner & printer.....

My mainboard is: ASUS sp97v.  The manual states that there is an 18 pin
connector on the MOBO that can be used for USB or ps2 mouse or Infrared.
A special cable/bracket is needed to go from the MOBO connector to
outlet connecters.


Does the cable come from ASUS or is it generaly available?
Other than buying the appropriate cable, what do I need to do to get USB
working?  And is it easy or hard to set up?
The manual states that the ps2 function of this plug will use IRQ12,
does USB use the same or any IRQ?

Any help on this would be greatly apreciated as I've not had anything to
do with USB before (you already guessed that!).
