  I'm afraid you are mistaken...Windows 95/98/Me can handle up to 2 GB of
RAM. To use it successfully insert this line into the [vcache] section of
your system.ini file:

 MaxFileCache=512000


   But don't take my word for it...take a look at MS KB:
