  Try pressing F8 or F10 when the cursor starts flashing in the upper
right hand corner. A much easier way is to go to
http://www.compaq.com/athome/support/softpaq/consumer/pres9500/pres9546.html
and dowload service pack 2141. This will let you create a bootable
floppy to access your BIOS. Very easy. Also while you're there get
service pack 1588 which will flash update your BIOS.
