I had this problem once before too. What finally stopped it was to Click on
My Computer, right click on each drive in the system, select properties,
then tools, and under error checking, select Check now, place a check in the
Automatically fix errors box, then click start. At this point your system
will need to be restarted, and this check should stop the system from doing
it after every restart. Just one of those wierd XP Bugs!
