A good solution may be to use VMWare or Virtual PC. These programs allow
you to run another operating system under your Windows 2000. I use it to
run Linux under XP. I also sometimes run a virtual Windows 98 on XP to
check for what a virus does. Running a suspected virus in the virtual
machine does not endanger my real computer os. VMWare is about $120, and
Virtual PC is about the same. VMWare has a trial version. Check it at
