Hi all,
I am looking for help with a computer problem.
I have two systems that I built that are almost identical.
The specs that are common to both are;

Soyo MB
K6/2-500Mhz
128M RAM
LinkSys 10M NIC
Win98SE
(Windows splash screen disabled with LOGO=0 inserted in MSDOS.SYS file.)

System-1 has a 56K modem
System-2 does not but uses Internet Connection Sharing
from System-1 thru a hub.
(Both systems used to network thru a crossover cable)

System-1 boots up fine with no delays every time.
System-2 Boots up 95% of the time ONLY if System-1 is up and running
first.
If System-1 is shut down, System-2 hangs after the AUTOEXEC.BAT finishes
all of its work. (Mostly SET statements)
Just sits there with a flashing cursor or a blank screen.

In an attempt to fix this both systems were recently upgraded from
Win95B to Win98SE and the problem was still there.
I was hoping Win98SE would fix it but it didn't help.
At this time Internet Connection Sharing was enabled.

I first noticed this when both systems were K6/2-300Mhz.
Thought it might be CPU speed related so both are now K6/2-500Mhz CPU's.

Got rid of the crossover cable and added a hub hoping it would help but
it didn't.

Changed the MSDOS.SYS line NETWORK= back and forth from 0 to 1, no help.

Where do I go from here?

Thanks,
Clint Worley
