I am trying to format and reinstall win  me or 98 on a harddrive but system halst at scandisk.
The reason i am reformating and setting hardisk  is because i am was getting frequent lockups in windows after about 3 -10 minutes after system was booted on. I figured by reinstalling win dows i may be gettin rid of corrupt files which may be causing the problems i have tried replacing memory installed NU 2001, but it finds all files were ok and ran complete system scan al was fine but i still get frequent lockups
