I had a problem on a Tomcat I board a couple of years ago. There was a
conflict between a SCSI I/O card and the Soundblaster Pro. Depending
on which ISA slots the two cards were in the processor speed would change
as indicated in the POST. Removing ether card corrected the problem.
I replaces the Soundblster Pro with a Soundblaster 16 and the problem
was gone. The original cards had worked together with no problems in
another motherboard. I don't know if this is related to your problem
but that one had Tyan tech support and I going for a while.
I hope that this info is of some help.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Strange Tyan / 150 problem

I have a Tomcat 3.....six months old. I got it directly from Tyan.
I have a Pentium Classic 150 installed which I obtained about a month ago.
It has been running stable for a month now without a problem. ....it is a
multi OS bench / test PC.
Last week I added a sound card....modem and 32 megs of Kingstone EDO and
encountered no problems or errors.

Last night I noticed when I was booting the post showed 133 MHZ. There are
no problems ....it is just running at a P 133...which should be impossible
at these P 150 jumper settings. I have checked and re-checked the jumper
settings....I even replaced the 3 jumpers.....for CPU clock and Buss speed.

If I change the Buss speed to 66.....up from 60......instead of posting as
a 166.....which this chip should easily do ...it posts as a 150. However
diagnostics shows it running at 166.

This is a new one for me.....has anybody seen this..........Does anybody
have any ideas ?
