I got in late on this. Why would networking the printer not be in the
budget? I found some print servers for as little as $43. Check these links
at buy.com for a sample of what I found.

I have not used any of these, but am considering getting one for my
3-computer network at home. If anyone has used the low cost Hawking adaptor,
I would like to hear if the results are good or bad. It sounds like a nice
product.

Here are some more items I found at worldspy.com:

If I understand right, you have 1 printer and 5 computers and you want all
the computers to be able to use the 1 printer. I have 3 computers, and they
all use my HP820 printer. I installed the software drivers for each OS on

the generic didn't work very well. He is connecting to a HP5 laser ptr. We
want to find a good printer sharing devive that will work with all the
different stuff he has without having to create a network printer. That
ain't in the budget. He keeps track of stocks but doesn't seem to be rich

The NOSPIN Group Promotions is now offering the NOSPIN
File Download CD, Abit's Gentus Linux, Linux Power CD and
the RedHat Linux CD. All CDs are always provided at COST!!!
