I haven't read this article myself, so I can't give you a review of it, but
I ran across a link on Anandtech's website last night to a web article
titled, "Storage-Where it's been and where it's going".  You might want to
take a look to see if it could be of use to you and your class.  It does
appear to be a work in progress, so it covers some subject matter now and
intends to deal with others later.
