Do remember that with the upgrade, as opposed to the full version install,
one need not reinstall all the exisiting programs and restore all the
existing data. That is a significant time saver.

We purchased several Win98 upgrade CD-ROM's just last December from CompUSA
over their web-site. They were full price, but they were available.

All you need to do is rename your WIN.COM file found in the
C:\Windows directory. Typically, when I would do this, I would
rename the file to Win.bob and then start my install of Windows98.

You can do this in Windows, then shutdown and boot from a floppy
disk with CD support... then just run setup on the Win98 CD.
