I have a voice/faxmodem in one of our computers that takes up a few of the
traces in the "16-bit" part of its ISA slot.  That is, if I put it in an
eight-bit slot, some of the connector would not be in the slot.  I was under
the impression (not having worked with voice modems much) that this was
