Hi,
My computer is doing very much the same thing at times, and I'm considering
the possibility that I may need a new graphics card (or fan), as something
inside there(I haven't opened this one recently) is beginning to become
quite noisy.(sounds like one of the fans)
It occasionally reboots, opens up programs, closes them down, the pointer
sometimes goes completely mad on it's own.
I have checked for viruses, trojans, you name it, I've scanned for it, but
nothing's hiding there.
Before I attempt to change the card though, I am intending to run 'scandisk'
from my startup disk. I haven't run that for a long time, and it's repaired
issues with other hard drives in the past.
(Or helped, anyway)
I, also, have Norton system works installed, and run that on a regular
basis, which detects no problems.
Hopefully, this might help to solve both our problems.
