Hi again,

I just spoke with AMD support and although they do not
technically support laptop processors sold in OEM
white boxes, they will answer general questions.

The support guy's opinion was that the XP-M
2400+ would not have burnt out in 4 seconds
if the copper top of it did not get very hot under
my finger.

But then again, maybe he is wrong and it did burn
out. I'm keeping an open mind on this possibility.
