Hi all,

Can anybody suggest why I cannot send faxes from my compact presario v500 running windows XP sp2. 
According to the Microsoft fax tool there are no modems installed in my laptop.
However hardware manager shows a Ac97 soft data fax modem with smartcp as being installed.
Diagnostics for the modem show comport 4 in use.
How can I tell which software / process is using the modem port, making it unavailable to the fax printer / manager
