Hi Dorothy

I'm going to assume that you installed MBM and it started up automatically.
Then you shutdown Windows (while your son added the fan and heat sink) and
MBM didn't startup automatically when you booted up the computer again.

You have to set MBM to start automatically when Windows starts and to
run in the tray (the bottom right of the screen).

I'm still running version 4 of MBM (I have an old motherboard) whereas
you probably have version 5. So I can't tell you exactly how to
configure MBM5...but it's likely similar to my version in the following.

Start MBM. (It must be in your "Start, Programs" menu somewhere.) When the
program starts, expand it to show all the options. (Double click the icon
in the tray or click the small arrows if a MBM window is visible. You're
going to have to play around until the whole MBM window, is visible. If
you see some meters and some readings only, you need to bring up the
MBM menu part of the window.)

You should see an array of tabs (typical windows style menu) with tabs
for things like Visual, Log, Up/Down, CPUIdle, SHDN!, E-Mail, General,
Temperatures, Voltages, Fans, Compensations, along with three buttons
named System, Preferences, and Options. In my version of MBM (ver. 4.17),
you click on the Preferences button and then put a check mark in both
"Run MBM on Windows startup" and "Start MBM in system Tray".

Regards,
Bill
