Hi Brad,

Don't know what stage you're at - fixed or not ,but here is my info how I see it.

From your description you appear to use a very simple dual boot setup, so it's not

encumbered by Linux or previous versions of Windows like XP.

That fact makes it a lot easier to diagnose.

Summary (as I understand it) :

1. Boot menu seems correct - both choices are showing "Internet drive" and "Games drive".

2. Each boot and run fine .

3. Internet can't see Games.

4. Games can see Internet.

Conclusion:

Nothing wrong with your boot record -Don't try to fix MBR iow -don't fix what's not broken.

Only thing is to show "Games" in "Internet" ---- Explorer view.

Something (some action ) on your Internet drive has hidden the Games drive from Explorer view

and by doing so will also prevent the sync utility from working.

*One question -Does the Games drive show in DiskManager when viewed from Internet ?

I went about it the other way in my search : I looked for ways to hide a drive (for security reasons)

Check the article below as well as Drivemanager . NoDrives is below that -(no experience with that one yet)

Hope this will help

Subject: [PCBUILD] Lost Hard Drive!

Hey folks

OK lets start

I dual boot.

Both boot Win7 Home Premium 64 bit

One I use specifically for internet stuff and office.

The second is for gaming and multimedia. I also Have a third but it's just

a storage drive NO OS.

The first drive is called Internet.

The second is Games.

The first one is a WD Blue 1 tb.

The Second is a WD Black 1 tb.

Both drives have been working fine for a while now and all of a sudden

Whamo! I boot into the Internet side and can't access the Games drive. I

also run a sync program from the internet drive to the Games drive. It is

not working also, go figure :) All the drives are fine hardware wise

checked them all out. Smart says all are healthy. They are all new just in

the past two months or so.

My Internet drive does NOT see the Games drive.

Now what is weird is, you see it if you go into the device manager and

populate the drives! But it is not shown in Windows explorer or my file

manager (XYPlorer).

Before this happened you would see if on the internet side. C = internet

drive, d = games drive, E = Storage drive.

Now to top all this off at the boot manager screen I see both Internet and

Games choices and guess what games boots up like nothing is wrong!!!!

I see the Internet drive and access all files! All drives show correctly!!

But it's only when I boot to the internet side (drive) that I have the

problem of not being able to access nor see the games drive.

Only drives I see on the internet side is c:, d = storage, e = CD. I also

have an external WD 2 TB drive but it is strictly USB 3.0. The OS does

assign it a drive letter, so I checked that out. NADA!

At this point I'm a little stumped. I thought maybe an update messed things

up, but I did not see any update that might do that. Of course it still

could have been one. The only thing I can think of at the moment is the

Boot Record got messed up somehow.

Other than that, Unless someone here can give me any ideas then It looks

like a re-install AGAIN!!

If I left any info out feel free to let me know!!
