I have an aggravating problem that, as far as I know, just appeared with my
MSIE 6.0 settings.

I have a Gateway Desktop running Windows ME, and have not encountered any
problems that I have not been able to solve before.

What occurs is my Internet Explorer will not hold my instructions in the
"Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Settings" I set all three of my
ISP telephone numbers to Automatically Detect the settings in the Dial-Up
connection. After that episode of internet work (E-mail, News, Browsing)
and I close my machine. The NEXT time I start my machine, I find that I
cannot use my browser UNTIL I reset the above setting to "Automativally
Detect" because the Connection settings have reverted to "Use a Proxy Server".

After I reset my Connections to "Automatic Detect" the browser works fine,
but this is an aggravation, and I cannot find a solution.

Do any of the far more knowledgeable of you out there suggest a permanent fix ?
