The instructions there require you to run a
couple programs (they provide) to determine what to do
next, before you flash the chip.

That page also lists where to buy a new BIOS chip
if you need one (or if you screw the old one up... -- only
available if you are in the USA.)

I got the D/L of your "flash zip", and it seems consistent
with the instructions on the page above. (File inside zip
has an extension of AWD...)
What you seem to be missing is the program to actually
run the "BIOS flash file" that you downloaded...
Be careful, there seem to be at least three flashing programs,
and only one is the correct one...

I would look around for someone (friend or technician) that
has been flashing older BIOS's for at least five years (or so)
since this board and chip uses an older set of techniques.

Disclaimer: I never worked on an ASUS MB.
You can permanently damage your computer if you flash it
wrong, --  or with the wrong file or flashing program...
Helpful hint: If something goes wrong during flashing do NOT
   turn the computer off!!! Back track and re-install the back-up
   you made, if given the option...
Keep the original floppy as empty as possible and do a REAL
clean BOOT (with no drivers or anything...)
Do not loose power during the flashing!!!)
