I would like to know where I can get an upgrade for a Intel 430fx pciset chip.

My motherboard is having a problem recognising my 10gig hard drive. It freezes when the hard drive is found. There is nothing wrong with the hard drive as I've tested it on anther computer and it works fine.
Any suggestions?
