My addition to this would be to get a double pole /double throw toggle switch and use the two center terminals for the speaker line and use the two outside terminals to connect each sound card.
Switching to one side or the other would connect the speakers to the wanted sound card and leave the other side open.
This mean cutting wires and having the ability to solder and a suitable mount for the switch. ---mike michel

Exactly right, you would have to install an a/b box to keep from having output from both computers frying your speakers and your sound cards.  You need a simple way to disconnect one computer from the speakers, so I don't think any kind of quickie wiring would be safe unless you have some electrical engineering background.
