My friend has an Emachine, using Window98 & IE5.5 and everything was
working fine until, all of the sudden, cannot get hooked to the
internet. Called the local Isp and everything is configured properly
and done right. The modem starts and makes the ususal sounds and then
keeps going thru the hissing noise and the guitar sound. It's acting
like it's stuck. Is this a bad modem or anyone else has any ideas?
