this problem could be the Duron 600 itself. Early Duron CPUs were not
designed to run as faster as later Duron. From Duron 750, you should be able
to overclock to 1Ghz or over without any problem (other than heat), but
early Duron may limited to 900/950mhz or even lower. My Duron 650 will
become unstable in DirectX game if I overclock it to 850 (core voltage
1.744v, if I rise it to 1.8v, it will be ok at 900mhz), after I belance
performance and heat, I run it at current 800mhz.
