Your options for upgrading from 2 DIMMS to more on a dual channel
motherboard may be limited by the motherboard and chipset you are using.
Some motherboards do not have 4 slots (this is typical of many Athlon XP,
socket A motherboards, for example).  Some motherboards will run your memory
at a slower speed if you fill up all four slots, i.e., go from DDR 400 to
DDR 333 speeds (I think you can run into this with some Athlon 64 systems).
Typically, if you have a Pentium 4 system using DDR memory, you are less
likely to run into these kind of issues with all four slots filled, though
perhaps the memory timings can not be set as aggressively.  On the other
hand, some small form factor motherboards of any type may only have two
memory slots.
