Alan:
I went through this last summer when I upgraded to an ASUS A7V8X-X motherboard
and found that my old G200 Millenium card would not work. Before buying a new
card, however, I'd suggest that you send an e-mail to Matrox' customer
support about your G450 card.

Be aware, too, that the A7V8X-X only has one serial port. This won't be a
problem for most people, but I need two -- one for an external modem, and one
for a UPS. I bought a serial port expansion card, but I haven't gotten around
to installing it, so I'm currently running the UPS without feedback.

These two issues aside, the upgrade was well worth the effort and expense.
About the only tricky bit is getting into the BIOS -- this thing boots so
very quickly that it doesn't give me much time to hit the DELETE key.

Best regards,
