I would like to know what is required to "repair" this acer laptop which has developed a problem with the graphics. Vertical lines and odd colours obscure the visuals on the screen completely. The model is 390c - an old pentium 150 I believe. The problem "displays" on an external monitor too ruling out the possibility of being a plasma screen issue.
Is there a "cheap" way to fix this and make the unit functional? Or is the video "card" gone, and therefore only solution is to replace entire board?
