This could happen if the CPU is overheating. Make sure the CPU fan is
working. Remove CPU fan and heat dissipater and reseat them. Clean contact
area and use good quality heat transfer gel between CPU and heat dissipater
while reinstalling them.

MB could be overheating but you indicate that case/PS fan is operating.
Leave case open while testing for additional MB cooling. If this helps, you
might consider additional case cooling.

After eliminating hardware issues, you might check the Microsoft Knowledge
Base site to see if it could be related to an OS issue.

Hope these comments help.

About 10 days ago I inquired about an issue I had with my pc not
starting...I tried all the strategies that everyone offered..but to no
avail...receeded the video card, checked the processor, unattached and
re-attached all ide cables, I purchased a new power source and a new hard
drive...nothing has helped...what is left ??? I guess a new processor and
motherboard ???

Just in case anyone missed it... Upon trying to set my computer up (after
a move) my pc's fans kick on lights, light up, but after about 15 seconds
everything shuts down... No beeps just a sound that is the same as if I
was powering down for the night....

Any possible help is appreciated !!
Thanks,
Mike Bodak

P.S.
PC is an intel P4 1.7 ghz (pentium motherboard), with 512mb ram, MSI 5700
256mb video card, 80 gb hard drive....
