If this is the same computer that you reinstalled to another directory  and
you didn't go hog wild deleting stuff aftewards then your driver ".inf "
file should still be in the old Windows .  Run search and search the old
Windows for ".inf" files and then after you find them go back to driver
update and let it look for the corect driver there.  This is only an idea if
I'm getting you into trouble or wrong I'm trusting other readers to corect
me.

P.S.  For all of the wizzards out there this might also be a way not to lose
Win 98 updates maybe someone could enlighten us if it's possible
