I'm trying to run a GPS receiver off the serial port on my ASUS P4P800-Deluxe. The device manager says the serial port is enabled and working. The BIOS also says it's enabled. However the GPS software (Duleo) says it can not find the receiver. How can I confirm my serial port is in fact functional? Unfortunately I have no other serial devices to substitute. I have a serial (9-pin) to PS/2 adaptor cable and a straight serial cable (9-pin) to play with if that helps.
