I am refurbishing a Dell Dimension 340, 2 GHz Pentium 4, 768 MB RAM, 
running XP Pro SP3.  All drivers look ok on Device Manager. Video card 
is an Nvidia GE Force MX420. When XP with SP 3 is loaded, it works fine. 
When I apply the 94 updates, I get a blank screen. The monitor shows 
there is a video signal, but no image.  I can restore it and it works 
ok. But when I apply the updates, I get the blank screen. I have updated 
the driver for the video card. No other software is installed. What can 
I do short of not installing the updates? Installing one update at a 
time would take a very long time.
