From viewing S3 webpage, sounds like your looking at the
Stealth3 S540 AGP and the Viper V770 AGP. I personally like the
The TNT2 drivers of the V770, although this can mean looking
for fixes on other TNT2 driver sites because Diamond doesn't support
NVidia cards now that they are S3. The specs at least are
very close to each other, unless your s540 is the Extreme
model.

If you want to really use the 3d functions in an AGP card,
don't go lower in the diamond product line than the Viper V550.
I use it and the performance on a Pentium III is nice enough.
It has the NVidia TNT chipset and 16 meg ram.

The other Diamond Stealth cards and the Viper 330 are okay
as PCI cards for business applications. There not as good as
the old Banshee PCI card for graphics, and that's going back a ways.
Go to www.diamondmm.com for info on legacy cards and chipsets.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Diamond VIPER11 card

I have an option of two Diamond VIPER11 video cards, one uses S3 2000
drivers and the other Nvidia TNT2 drivers. Which would be the better
buy?

Alan Priol.
