I personally have used a 56k modem for netmeetings on msn and also at one
time had yahoo installed and used the webcam and microphone.
I did find, however, that there was a delay at times with the voice,
depending possibly on the time of day I was using it, I'm not sure. I tended
to type rather than use the mic, as it was at times a bit frustrating. I did
sometimes have trouble with the webcam freezing.
I found a vast improvement once I switched to broadband.
