I am trying to install a Mitsumi 4X IDE CD drive in a P-75 machine.
Windows 98 sees it OK, but I can't get it into DOS. I installed the
drivers that came with it, MCDEX and MTMCAI, and config and autoexec files
were made for them. On boot I get the error message that "Atapi cd rom
drive not detected" and driver not installed. So, dos doesn't see the
drive. Any help appreciated, the model of the CD is CRMC-FX400D1.

One other question, I have seen UDMA cd drives now for sale. Is their an
advantage to these?

Thanks,
Edna Sloan
