Thanks for the tip, but that's exactly what I do every time and it will 
still give me the same message every time. I don't touch the keyboard or

even the computer so there is no reason why it has been cancelled... but
for 
some reason it is. How do I correct that so that the chkdisk will run?

Click Start> Computer> right click the drive (usually C)> Properties,
then
select the tools tab and it's in there. Once you select it, you will be
prompted to restart and checkdisk will run upon restart.

Where is chkdisk of scandisk in Win 7? I need to check my disk for bad
sectors and can not find that function. Used to be under system tools in
Accessories
