I have one of these and it does work.  Over the net, don't expect high
video quality or rapid updates but it is at least as good as the early
"video phones".  The biggest factors are the two computer connect speeds,
and the internet traffic volume.  At night with high speed connections it
is fair.  During the day, slow frame rates and broken speech.

To keep in touch with family, it is much better than just a "chat". It's
cost was worth for me and my family.
