it is normal to have the fan be so awkward and hard to put on, however you
should eliminate the bending of the motherboard by sitting it on a flat
surface (this means putting the cpu and fan on b4 putting the mobo in the
case) There are other fans that have a longer clip that make it easier to
fit the fan however there heat transfer is not as good
