I had need to reboot my ME 2000 / Compaq Presario 5000. This due to my
screen going blue and not restarting; the disk then indicated that there
is an error 50:4 on my Compaq Rapid Restore Disk, I also tried a
Recovery Disk both said the same. Rapid had Error 50:4 and Recovery
said to contact my dealer or Compaq. Also with Rapid Restore
after stating the error it told me to continue (if I wanted), when I hit
enter all I saw was the word "working" which I let stand for over an
hour with no response. Yesterday I hit F8 and tried to use Safe Mode
but to no avail. Is there a solution to this? Or has my computer gone
to a happier virus free after life? Thanks for your Help
