Hi there!
I have an HP pavilian 501n with an XP OS that went into a sleep mode and never came out!  Now, it goes on with a . ... .... ... beep pattern.  I've turned it off as well as holding the off/on button which turns it off and on again with no success.  Any other suggestions or ideas as to why this happened to begin with.  It's a relatively new system - 17 months old.  Any help would be appreciated.  I'm a graduate student who definately needs this computer to function!
