Thanks Carol,
But that is the point. This particular computer is VERY proprietary,
according to ACER.  Apparently the components inside the case ONLY fit that
case. And the PS that I ordered is the same kind_down to the part number_
as the one that 'blew'. All the parts that 'go poof' are to be replaced by
the same/like ones. Even my local computer shop who is an ACER warranty
dealer, told me this. Only they are MUCH more pricey than the cost of just
the PS.

Does anyone know how why?? Is the MB the culprit that *needs* the exact
components rather than other kinds that most other computers would work with?

Thanks for the web site suggestion, though.. I'm always shopping around for
different computer peripherals....
