Visit windows update, on the left side of the screen see where it says
"Personalize Windows Update" click on that and check the box where it says
"Display the link to the Windows Update Catalog under See Also" then click
on the left side where it says "Welcome". You should now see a link for the
Windows Update Catalog on the left side. Click it. you can now download all
(or any) of the updates and save them to disk.

Just a suggestion, take a blank hard drive, size really doesn't matter.
Temporally remove your C drive from your computer and install this blank one
in it's place. Format the drive and install windows, along with all your
drivers (but no software). Connect to windows update and install all the
updates. Shut down and remove this drive, store it in a safe place and mark
it as a clean install of windows (updated). If (read that as when) you have
problems and need to reformat and reinstall your Windows, you will have a
fresh fully patched version to "ghost" over to your C: drive.

Subject: [PCBUILD] How to save W98 updates ?

What is the best way to download and save all the W98SE updates
for future reinstallations? I understand they will soon be unavailable.
Thanks.
