Have you run a spyware scan?
Some malware installs a proxy server.
Look in Control Panel/Internet Options/Connections/Lan Settings.
Uncheck "use a proxy server" if it's selected.

I have a problem with the internet connection to be precise http
protocol.
My PC stopped accessing web pages last week. I have been able to read
mails
from the SMTP server. What I should I do to correct this? I am able to
ping
all the servers on my network
