I have a 5 year old Compaq that I am installing a larger hard drive where
the bios does not want to recognize the full size of the drive. I had to
remove the diagnostic partition and use a disk manager to get the full
capacity of the drive available.
Question, Is it posible to still create the diagnostic partition after
using a disk manager? I know Compac says you must install the diagnostic
partition first before anything is placed on the drive.

I don't see any problems with leaving the diag. off the drive if I always
have the floppies to boot up from for set up or diagnostic. Any opinions
on this?
