Here's a simple question - does the "bad" CD work in other
computers/CD Drives?

So, you're saying that once you place a bad CD-ROM in the drive,
the drive
 will no longer work?
  >>
no, the drive refuses to read the CD that had a problem. I can put
another CD
in and it reads it, put the Cd with the 'bad' program and it doesnt
read it,
just blinks the drive light 3 times, stops, then blinks the drive
lights 3
times. I thought it was a drive problem but Cds like Streets 98
work fine.
