"mobo" is shorthand for motherboard, sometimes MB is used. --That's a major problem in computer science--many symbols which are constantly changing or becoming obsolete.

What is mobo?

<If you have exact same sticks (brand, size, chips), and either of them work
fine but not both, then the problem is almost certain - mobo.
If the two sticks are not same, it could be memory timing issue or bad mobo.
In this case, you need to adjust RAM timing in BIOS to match the slowest RAM
you've got, if it still doesn't work, the best bet is a bad mobo.Jun Qian>
