Good day,

I have limited self taught computer abilities (on my second build) and have
not experienced this problem before...

My sons computer:

Thor Motherboard
GW2K P5-166 upgraded to a powerleap K6III-400
128 RAM
6 G Western Digital
2 G Seagate
Acer 40x CD-Rom
Floppy
Viking 56K ISA Modem ISA
External SCSI Zip 100 PCI
Ensoniq Vivo Sound Card ISA
Crateive Graphics Blaster Riva TNT Video Card PCI
Battery was replaced in October 2000

A few weeks ago the monitor would blink on and off while the power indicator
light would blink in sync. Eventually the computer began to randomly freeze
up on him. Today he went to power up and the power indicator light flashes
and that is it. No boot up, no monitor (power light comes on the monitor),
nada.

I suspect a failed power supply. Would this be correct? Are there other
possible causes to this scenario? If it is a power supply will any PSU fit
into the GW2K case (full tower ATX, flat top)?

TIA for your help.

Eric Heath
