Home edition quit booting giving me the message:

\Windows\inf\biosinfo.inf missing or corrupt.

I have copied the partition to another drive. After setting up another Hardrive (IDE drive)with Windows XP and looking at the corrupt drive I can't find any Servicepackfiles under Windows to copy this file into the proper place.

The problem is I have an upgrade version of Windows XP Home Edition with Service pack 1. The version corrupt is Service Pack 2 on a SATA drive. Is there a way I can copy this file to the corrupt drive to see if it will work? I now have Windows XP running on another drive but without my programs that take time to reinstall along with the proper drivers.
