I recently installed a 9600XT ATI card and related drivers. Installed the driver that came with it.  Also rolled up to the latest driver at the time (though there is an even more recent driver out now that I am going to try).  Upon installation, the only DVD player that works is the ATI provided player.  Windows Media Player and Interactual show black screen and audio only.

Running Windows XP with 512k on a Pentium 4 1.5 ghz Hewlett Packard.

Did a complete XP reinstall from the hard drive partition (bastards don't provide an XP disc ! GRRR!).  Did not try my DVD playback before I re-installed the drivers again (should have to trouble shoot). I never had this problem with my Nvidia card and drivers.

Any help or knowledge?  Contacted ATI. Never received a response.
